An interesting article from the AMA - American Motorcyclist Association (see article below) has appeared on the FEMA (Federation of European Motorcyclist's Associations) website with FEMA’s General Secretary Dolf Willigers and FEMA board member Maria Nordqvist from SMC Sweden offering advice to American riders. Hi-Viz In France
France - Reposted from our previous publication on the subject on Right To Ride EU. Straight from the website of the French Riders Group – FFMC – regarding the end of their government plans for riders to wear hi-viz sees the proposal watered down and transposed into law for riders to carry a hi-viz vest on/in their motorcycle and other vehicles – three-wheeled motorized or non bodywork motor quadricycle. Save Time And Money
Europe - The Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations FEMA reports that during the summer they carried out mobility tests in various European cities using a combination of different modes of transport. FEMA’s conclusion is that if you want to save time and money – use a bike! However London as a major European city is not included in this mobility test which is surprising considering its size. United Kingdom - On Thursday, June 16, the CEN (European Committee for Standardization) technical committee on road equipment (TC226) held its annual meeting in Stockholm. The draft standard for a road restraint protection system for motorcycles (EN1317-8) was on the agenda.
