Effects of Advanced (Anti-lock) Braking Systems (ABS) On Motorcycle Crashes - A Survey of 61 motorcyclists who crashed between 2010 and 2015 An online survey was carried out in 2016 focussing on motorcyclists who had crashed while riding a motorcycle fitted with Advanced (anti-lock) Braking Systems (ABS). While wandering around the internet, Facebook to be exact, we came across a question on the Moto Riders Universe group page, (a group that has nearly 150,000 members), which was, “What is the hump for on a motorcycle jacket? Norway - "Full Kontroll" - Full Control a book from the Nowegian riders organisation - Norsk Motorcykkel Union - NMCU - which looks at the overall perspective of how to become a good rider has moved from its paper and downloadable pdf versions to a series of films on Youtube Although the films are only available in Norwegian at this time, the Full Control book - is available in English -  updated in 2013 - the book is written by motorcyclists and includes sections that assess the road, traffic, motorcycles, equipment and accessories. In December 2016 we reported on the "Vnuk Judgement" which concerned a 2014 decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union in relation to the judgement's possible effects on proposed changes to motor vehicle use and motor insurance within the European Union. United Kingdom - It is that time of year when annual tribute rides take place organised by the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG UK) to commemorate Fred Hill, who made it his mission not to recognise the 1973 motorcycle compulsory helmet law introduced in the UK by Parliament. United States - Washington DC -The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) - Through a piece of legislation in a Highway Bill, a Motorcyclist Advisory Council (MAC) was created in 2005 to coordinate with and counsel the Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) .
