Great Britain - The UK Government is seeking views on proposals for extending the date of a vehicle’s first road worthiness test, known as the MoT (Ministry of Transport) test date from 3 to 4 years for cars, motorcycles and vans through an open consultation in Great Britain. AMA – What’s The Beef?
United States – Global – The American Motorcyclists Association (AMA) is asking, “What’s the beef with motorcycles?” as they report that a US federal agency are attempting to tack a 100 percent or higher tariff on motorcycles made in Europe – along with other products - as part of a trade battle over hormones in U.S. beef. United Kingdom - Biker & Bike - UK Motorcycle Theft Protest Group - There is a bike theft epidemic happening in the UK’s larger cities that, outside of biking circles, is little known about. Europe – ACEM – Registrations Up
Europe - ACEM - The Motorcycle Industry in Europe reports that, Powered-two and powered-three wheeler registrations are up by 3.3% in the EU. ACEM state that a total of at least 902,791 powered-two and three-wheelers were registered during the first eight months of 2016 in the EU. This represents an increase of 3.3% compared to the 874,075 vehicles registered during the same period of 2015.
