Australian – Sikh Helmet Exemption

Australia – A group of motorcyclists in the Australian state of New South Wales are seeking an exemption from the mandatory wearing of motorcycle crash helmets. The group who are Sikh motorcyclists are asking for the exemption in the helmet wearing law that states: The rider of a motorcycle must wear an approved motorcycle helmet securely fitted and fastened on the rider's head. FEMA – Mobility Tests

Europe - The Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations (FEMA) has announced the results of its 2017 European Mobility Test which saw 7 countries and 14 cities in mainland Europe participate to answer the question - what is the best way to get you to work quickly? The mobility tests were undertaken by cars, motorcycles, mopeds, speed-pedelecs (faster breed of electric bicycle), e-bikes (Electric bike), conventional bicycles and public transport traveling a route from outside a city to an office inside the city. Europe - Brussels - On Thursday 28th September FIM - Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme - hosted its 2017 policy debate and annual reception at the Stanhope Hotel in Brussels. United Kingdom – GB Only – The UK Government in the form of the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Roads, Local Transport and Devolution, Jessie Norman MP announced last week the outcome of a consultation by the Department for Transport (DfT) regarding vehicle exemption from the MoT. United Kingdom - Cycling UK, a charity originally founded in 1878 as the Bicycle Touring Club and subsequently re-named the Cyclists' Touring Club, who represent cyclists issues and the promotion of cycling, wants people to be trained to open their doors with their far hands to avoid “car-dooring” riders.
